« Ahh, That Feels Better »
Well, what do you know, I must be getting stressed. I just closed the office door, put on a CD, and actually meditated for like, twenty minutes. Well, more like five (who am I kidding) and then read for a bit, but who's counting. The point is, I also had what is soon to become Friday's video of the week playing in the background. It will serve as today's therapy.
So, how's your Friday going? Stressed? Need to deescalate? Well then, I recommend the classic Baroque piece everyone knows and loves, Pachelbel's Canon in D Major. And no, not with ocean waves in the background. If you are a type A like I am, it will completely ruin the piece and annoy the living hell out of you the entire time. So no to ocean waves. Because on its own, this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written.
Enjoy, and take a few minutes to relax.

Thanks,
I needed that.
I played this piece frequently when I was pregnant the first time; its peaceful tones helped me during an anxious time.
My husband loves sounds of nature with instrumental music. The rest of the family feels honor-bound to ridicule this. He doesn't care, God love him.
You don't know how bad I needed that. Aol is getting rid of FTP, and I have about 5 years of photography saved on there so I'm going crazy trying to get it all transferred, on a happier note, I won Bear Bust Bear Daddy 2008 in Orlando, Florida last weekend, wish you could of been there so I could have mauled you!

Derek, you are one of the only men that I will ever say the following to and mean it!
MAUL AT WILL!
So beautiful! Baroque is good for what ails ya'.
love that piece, but I am so not one to sit and watch music type videos. I just took a test last week at work, one of those "Are You Type A?" deals, and only had ONE "no" answer. Isn't there a pill for meditation?
